Floods on Barrow Road

Taken in 1951, the slightly raised level (where the motorcyclist is) is the location of the ancient Priest's Bridge between Quorn and Barrow. In the background on the left is Quorn Hall Lodge.

The Museum Team wondered if the date was correct, but local bus expert, Andrew Webster, told us: "Lester Bros bus FAY 897 was new in August 1946 and lasted with Lesters until April 1968 so I would say 1951 is the answer!"
