Quorn Cricket Club shield/logo/badge

The Quorn Cricket Club shield/logo/badge was designed by local Quorn ‘lad’ Terry Cowlishaw in the mid-1970s and is still in use today (2025), as can be seen from the Caves Field sign.

The two crescent shapes are to recognise the Farnham family, who were Quorn’s local squires and preserved Caves Field for use by the Cricket Club.

Terry was also responsible for the sign for Patsy-Ann hairdressers, (now 18 Station Road and a dental surgery) in the mid-1970s and for the sign for the Apple Tree pub in the early 1980s.
