Quorn Emmanuel Football Club 1908/09

The first mention of Quorn Emmanuel Football Club can be found in 1902. It played in the Loughborough and District League Division III and seems to have been disbanded at the outbreak of WW1 in 1914.

This photograph was taken by William Shuttlewood, the Quorn chemist in 1908/09. No names in the picture are known, but it belonged to Peter and Margaret Gamble, so it is likely that one of the men is a Gamble.

Press reports for the 1908/09 season mention players Rennocks and Thornton.
