Quorn Environmental Award (2000)

Quorndon Parish Council won the Daily Telegraph/Calor Gas National Environmental Village of the Year award in 2000.

Peter Gamble the Parish Tree Warden is pictured in Stafford Orchard with John Hutchinson the Parish Council Chairman on 25th February 2002. The newly planted oak tree was presented to the village by the Tree Foundation to commemorate the award. For comparison Dennis Marchant, the Stafford Orchard Advisory Group Chairman, is pictured with the same tree in 2020.
