The River Soar, Soar Road, Quorn

The granite and brick wall on the left is still present today. Santa Maria lodge is just visible in the distance behind the footbridge. The wooden post fence on the left was later replaced by concrete posts with metal railings, and later again by a substantial brick wall to help with flood prevention.
