Quorn meat substitute and our village – a connection or not?

One question that people often ask is whether there is a connection between the name of the popular Quorn vegetarian protein product and the village of Quorn.

For many years the answer was always believed and given as “no”, but after reading conflicting opinions, in 2017, Sue Templeman decided to carry out some in-depth research to try to determine the answer once and for all. This resulted in an article which appeared in The Quorndon magazine in Winter 2017. Research continued after publication and even more information came to light.
