Rawlins School 1901
Rawlins school admitted girls in 1898, the year after the school buildings were opened on the current site in Quorn. It claimed to be the first school south of the Trent to adopt co-education.
In the centre is the headmaster, Mr Edward Hensman and the lady below him in dark dress is Miss Vial, the head of the preparatory part of the school. This was a whole school photograph, with 46 pupils (29 boys and 17 girls).
