Civilian Bobbies on the beat in Quorn
In this 2003 newspaper article held in the Quorn Parish Council Archives, Councillor Joan Bloodworth meets the villages first community support officer Chris Kendall pictured here with Chief Superintendent Ian Stripp.
Chris, collar number 6524, joined the police service in 2003 and retired in 2018. He worked as the Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) since the introduction of the role and was the Neighbourhood PSCO for Quorn and the neighbouring villages of Woodhouse, Woodhouse Eaves and Ulverscroft. On his retirement Chris said "I have endeavoured to provide a point of contact within the community and a visible presence in the villages that the beat covered".
