Barrie’s Fruit and Veg Shop, Quorn Cross
‘Barries’ fruit and veg shop, in a prominent position on Quorn Cross, was run by Barrie and Joan Bloodworth for many years. The shop was so much part of everyday life for so many people, that we are very lucky that this photograph was taken in the 1990s.
The picture is a great record in its own right, but it also demonstrates how important it is that some-one records everyday life today.
