News from Quorn officer - 1941

28th November 1941 – Loughborough Echo

Lt. Arthur Markham, who was recently reported a prisoner and wounded in Crete, has since written to his mother from Cairo, where he is free and awaiting hospital treatment.

Mr Markham is well known in Quorn, Barrow and Mountsorrel. He was a prominent figure at Humphrey Perkins School in all walks of school life. He taught in Quorn Church Sunday School. His mother, Mrs Markham, is in business at Mountsorrel and Mr and Mrs Roberts, his uncle and aunt, with whom he used to live, reside at “Glanravon,” (sic) Leicester-road, Quorn
