Quorn soldier prisoner of war

Mrs. Harris, of 4, Victoria Street, Quorn, has received official intimation that her son, Gunner Ernest Harris, of the Royal Artillery, is a prisoner of war in Japanese hand and is interned in Malai Camp. He joined up in 1939 and prior to that worked in the Education Department offices of the Leicestershire County Council.
