The Baptist Chapel – then and now
The original part of the church was built in 1770. This started as the main building on the left. The older photograph was taken between about 1910 and 1915.
Some differences are immediately obvious between the two photographs, such as the modern porch, the change of gates and the number of graves on the right. What is less obvious is the pavement. Note the cobbles in the older picture and that the level of the pavement has got higher over the years.
