Barrow Road, Hillyard Cottages - then and now
This is the left-hand side of Barrow Road looking from Quorn towards Barrow, starting at number 56, (Hillyard Cottages). The older photograph was taken in the very early 1900s.
What are now numbers 70 and 72 were the Gospel Hall and the minister's house. The words 'Gospel Hall' can't be seen on the photographs (although the plaque is visible on the older one), but if you look very carefully at the actual house, the words are still faintly visible under the paint and rendering.
