Quorn Theft case dismissed - 1873
Loughborough Advertiser - June 26th 1873
Martha Bent, a married woman of Quorndon was charged by Issac Bussey of the same place, with stealing a blanket, calico sheet, gold ring, silver table spoon etc to the value of £1. Mr Goode prosecuted, and Mr Deane defended. After hearing the evidence however, the magistrates dismissed the case, there not being any evidence to prove the charge, it appearing that the articles in question were given to the Defendant some time previous, the woman having lived with the complainant for some years as house keeper.
